Explore the winter wonderland at Gallatin River Lodge, open to both the public and lodge guests! Embrace the thrill of cross-country skiing on our 2.5 KM course winding around the lodge grounds. The groomed trail caters to both Classic and Skate XC skiing styles, offering two diverse loop options.

For skiing enthusiasts aged 10 and above, daily access is just $8, unless you’re a guest staying at the lodge – then it’s on the house! Skiing hours run from 9 am until sundown, providing ample time to soak up the snowy scenery. Please note, on Tuesdays through Saturdays, our food and beverage services commence at 4 pm, so plan your snacking accordingly. Sundays and Mondays are exclusively for skiing as there are no F&B services available.

Delight in the Ski and Sip experience – after a few invigorating laps, wind down at our bar during Happy Hour starting at 4 pm. Enjoy irresistible $5 drink specials and alpine snacks to complement your skiing adventure.

And if you’re a fan of indulgence, don’t miss out on our exclusive Cheese Fondue, the only one in Gallatin Valley! Dive into a melty, cheesy delight – be sure to order “the works” for the ultimate refuel after burning those XC skiing calories.

Visit the lodge’s front desk to purchase your skiing ticket, sign a liability waiver, and grab a trail map. Ample parking is available, so gear up and ski into an unforgettable experience!

  • 9am-sun down (There is no food and beverage services until 4pm Tuesday-Saturday)
  • XC skiing is open (conditions permitting) 7 days a week (There are no food and beverage service Sundays and Mondays)
  • No rentals are available on-site
